American actress Courtney Thorne Smith (born November 8 1997). Her credits include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim, and Lyndsey McElroy's regular role on Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in San Francisco and raised in Menlo Park (a suburb to San Francisco). Her father, Walter Smith, was a market researcher for computers, as was her mother, Lora Thorne, was a Therapist. They separated at the age of seven. Courtney was seven years old. She lived with both parents at different times. Jennifer is her elder sibling, is an advertising executive. She graduated in 1985 from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California. In the high school, she performed with Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne-Smith made her first film appearance in the 1986 movie drama Lucas, alongside Winona Ryder, Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. She was also involved in various films in the late 1980s including Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise (1987), Summer School (1987), and Side Out (1990). She was a part of Carrot Top in 1998's box office failure, as Chairman of the Board. She appeared in Sorority Wars in 2009. Thorne Smith was a fan of Andrew Shue from Melrose Place in the early 1990s. The actress got married to geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. They split in 2001. On January 1st, 2007, she married Roger Fishman, president of the company that markets the Zizo Group and author of the book What I Know. At 40 years old, she gave birth on January 11 of 2008 to Jacob Emerson Fishman.
