 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor as well as a comedian and activist. She was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and began her career as an actress as a child just after moving to the United States. From 2013 to 2016 she was the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams, and since 2020, she has been the AT&T saleswoman Lily Adams. She gained fame for her roles in television commercials. She also was a regular series regular on Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally she was a series regular on Yahoo! Vayntrub was initially cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. She and her parents fled antisemitism at the age of two. They moved to West Hollywood. At five years of age, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to economic hardships in her family. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly however she dropped out in her sophomore year. She then obtained the GED and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. She was a member of the Upright Citizens Brigade, and studied the art of improv comedy.
